Interview

04: What are your tasks on the team?

Voice Acting - Primarily for the Marines.

05: Why did you join the ES crew?

The sci fi premise was appealing, and the people associated with the project subdued me with flattery.

06: What did you do prior to your work on ES?

Random Internet Cartoons including Crab Battle. Typecast as Solid Snake (or any Snake for that matter), Agent Smith, Arnold Schwartzennegger, and for some reason - Marines. This can be seen more than ever in my Voice Acting role in Black Mesa Source - as all the Marine voices in the mod.

07: What do you like most on working on this project?

The cohesive nature of the team. There are constant e-mail updates about the progress of the mod - and the beta testing seems endless. That shows that there is a large amount of dedicated and focused people working on this mod - and that is exactly the type of people I like to surround myself with.

08: Are there any other mod teams you admire?

I come from Black Mesa Source - so I would admittedly have to give them a shout out. Wait did I just say "shout out"? Ugh.

09: Whats your opinion on mod projects. If anything, do they have an impact on the industry?

I think mod projects are simply amazing - and completely misunderstood. This is because a mod can constitute a 8kb blood effect mod - to a whopping 3 GB total conversion. The name "mod" simply does not allow the actual practice enough respect in my opinion. This mod team (much like Black Mesa) is comprised of a group of extremely talented individuals who are not getting paid for their work. They simply do it because they love it. That is something that everyone should aspire to.

10: Where do you see yourself in the future in this industry?

Hopefully as a professional Voice Actor - or a film maker. Whichever comes first.
